This is kind of a sequel to Shin Megami Tensei IV. Sort of.
The story is a sequel the beginning of the Neutral route in the first game but it diverges at a certain point, which makes this an alternate Neutral route from the first game.
There is no Law or Chaos route in this game. It’s Neutral and more Neutral. The game has multiple endings but they’re all Neutral to some degree.
Your new protagonist is a Hunter named Nanashi that died while demon hunting but makes a contract with the demon Dagda, becoming his servant. Thus, Nanashi gains the power to control demons and the story continues in the middle of the war between Merkabah and his angels and Lucifer and his demons within Tokyo.
Dagda manipulates Nanashi into freeing an entitiy named Krishna who then forms a 4th faction with its own agendas and claims its purpose is to save humanity from the forces of the angels and demons.
So it’s Flynn/Neutral vs Walter/Chaos vs Jonathan/Law vs Krishna/Neutral (Alternate)?
